INGERSOLL: Charlie Kirk’s Murder Should Result In A Purge. Does Trump Have What It Takes?

Greetings, Dear Reader,

I was thinking that the time off to go on vacation might result in me moderating my initial thoughts in the wake of Charlie Kirk’s assassination.

I’m back now and that’s not what happened.

As far as we can tell, Tyler Robinson’s path to violent left wing radicalization began like many other forms of radicalization, in niche online communities.

There is one key difference, however, between other forms of radicalism and Robinson’s brand.

What almost all of the others lack – whether it’s militant white nationalism, Islamic extremism, or any other fringe ideology – is a supporting and encouraging structure with deep institutional credibility among American elites. The structure Robinson found in college almost certainly nurtured his “critical gender and queer theory” radicalism and was willing to reward it with credentials. Once radicalized and rewarded with credibility, academia then gives its zealots a fast-lane into other institutions, whether its party politics, government, education, law and so on.

The answer of what should happen next is very simple: Purge the schools.

We’ve known for decades that they are breeding grounds for radical leftism. We’ve known especially in the last decade they’ve become historically regressive, even violent places.

If the Trump administration has any spine whatsoever, they’ll lead a massive purge of academia. They have become madrassas that have industrialized violent neo-marxist ideology. Since 2014, that ideology has spilled in vast tides into nearly every aspect of American life.

They need to be bled out.

Before I get to how, let me address the elephant-sized false equivalence dominating our discourse at the moment: This is not a both sides issue. It is unequivocally a left wing issue.

The folks in power trying so hard to ‘both sides’ this problem are simply interested in protecting their talent pipeline. After all, when it comes to achieving your policy goals, it helps when hundreds of thousands of radicals are willing to form a constellation of paramilitary groups willing to do violence on your behalf.

Various talking heads will point to various “studies” purporting to show that right wing extremism accounts for more violence since some such date. These studies, one in particular by the Anti-Defamation League, are cooked. They’re bogus. They call prison killings “right wing.” They call anti-government anarchists “right wing.” Some even go so far as to categorize the Pulse Nightclub shooting, an ISIS terrorist attack, “right wing.”

They’re simply gaming the numbers to run cover for the actual source of radicalism in America. I reject them wholesale.

Further, I can prove them wrong in one simple query: Point me to a single instance of campus conservatives trashing a static display set up by left wingers?

Where is the video of violent conservatives taking over a study hall?

Where is the video of college Republicans assaulting pussy-hat wearing baby killers?

Show me the video of right wing students literally chasing a liberal campus speaker and her security down a hallway and then barricading them in a small room?

Violent pro-trans activists chased Riley Gaines through a campus building and forced her to take shelter “for hours” inside a small classroom. It made news everywhere.

Is there a single example of right wingers doing likewise? Even one?

People can’t even silently mourn Charlie Kirk on campus without becoming victims of deranged attacks.

The college radicalism pipeline is, without a doubt, the most serious insider threat America faces right now. As such, Trump should viciously purge American universities.

The way to do it is simple, but it’ll take guts.

Any college that takes public money of any sort is subject to government oversight, and that includes internal communications. Many state universities are almost entirely dependent on taxpayer funding, but there’s also a ton of private universities that depend on the taxpayer, as we saw during Trump’s recent fight with the ivies.

Trump should direct the FBI to index all internal comms from these universities. All of them. The Fourth Amendment doesn’t apply to public employees. Even quasi public employees are subject to seizure of communications on official platforms.

Rip. It. All.

And before the left’s favorite judges can make a move, contract a third party to process and release the index in searchable format.

We already kind of suspect which universities, which colleges, which departments are the biggest offenders, but with this done, we’ll have incontrovertible proof.

Once the public gets a sense of just how undeniably radical these people are, Trump will have the political will to defund them. He’ll even have enough will to line edit university budgets and staff lists.

Once the purge starts in earnest, they’ll start doing it themselves in anticipation.

My goal would be a 50% reduction in university staff by ‘28. By the time we’re done outing them, the only things taxpayers will want to fund are STEM, trade schools and health care-related industries.

Universities choked off from public funds, from federal student loans, grants and the like will have no choice but to jettison their most corrosive elements. The humanities departments. The “critical theory” and “other cultures” departments. Even the people trying to make math queer. I want all of them out on their asses.

Render them radioactive for a generation. Render their acolytes financially destitute. Their only market opportunity should be to preach on the street beside Nation of Islam types. Out of officialdom, incapable of credentialing more radicals, thoroughly defanged and begging for pocket change from sympathetic passersby.

We need to end the madness on campus. We need to purge the schools. We need to do it now.

Anything less would be to default on the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

WHAT I’M READING

If they’re not educating American radicals, they’re educating rival regimes.

How stupid could you be?
