TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia's Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa said the government has earmarked Rp13.2 trillion from the seized assets of the crude palm oil (CPO) corruption case for the Endowment Fund for Education Agency (LPDP). The funding is given upon the request of President Prabowo Subianto.According to Purbaya, his ministry has allotted an even bigger budget for LPDP. "We have allocated the seized cash for LPDP. We even give them more than that, we're channeling Rp25 trillion to LPDP," said Purbaya to the media at Menara Bank Mega, Tuesday, October 28, 2025.Prabowo's request to inject LPDP with seized money from the CPO corruption was conveyed during a cabinet meeting at the State Palace on Monday, October 20, 2025. The head of state said he would increase the budget for LPDP from the budget efficiency results and from the seizure of corruptors' assets."Perhaps the Rp13 trillion seized by the Attorney General's Office today will be handed over to the Minister of Finance. Possibly, the Minister of Finance will allocate a portion to the LPDP for the future," Prabowo told Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa.The Attorney General's Office handed over seized cash amounting to Rp13.2 trillion after the Supreme Court annulled the acquittal verdict issued by the Corruption Court of Jakarta to three corporations. Wilmar, Permata Hijau, and Musim Mas were accused of committing joint corruption in relation to the export submission to the Ministry of Trade.Prosecutors demanded Wilmar pay compensation amounting to Rp11.8 trillion, consisting of Rp1.65 trillion in state financial losses as well as business sector and household losses of Rp8.52 trillion.Meanwhile, Musim Mas Group was ordered to pay Rp 4.89 trillion in compensation.
