Indonesian Govt Announces National Internship Platform Ready for Launch

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Indonesian Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto has announced that the national internship program for fresh graduates will begin on October 15, 2025. This internship program is one of the eight acceleration programs for development in the 8+4+5 economic package.Registration can be completed via the “Siap Kerja” platform, which is managed by the Ministry of Manpower. According to Airlangga, the system is now ready for companies—both state-owned and private companies affiliated with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin)—to upload their internship job requirements. “The fresh graduate internship system is ready, and starting from now until October 15, it’s about the demand side being uploaded,” said Airlangga during a press conference at Wisma Danantara, Jakarta, on Wednesday, October 1, 2025.Minister of Manpower Yassierli detailed the registration timeline. He mentioned that from today until October 7, 2025, companies with a Business Identification Number (NIB) and registered in the Mandatory Manpower Report (WLKP) system can upload their internship requirements based on specified conditions. One of the conditions is for companies to provide mentors for the interns. Then, from October 7 to October 13, 2025, prospective internship participants can register on the “Siap Kerja” platform.According to Yassierli, there are no specific document requirements for the registrants. This internship opportunity is open to D3, D4, and S1 graduates who have completed their studies within the past year. He mentioned that the Ministry of Manpower already has integrated data with the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Technology. “So, we already have data for the past year, who the graduates are. Therefore, it is sufficient to match them when they register on their ‘Siap Kerja’ account,” said Yassierli at Wisma Danantara. The quota for internship participants is set at 20,000 people. Yassierli stated that the government will proportionally allocate this quota to each province based on the number of graduates from that region. The government also mentioned that the interns will receive a salary equivalent to the minimum wage in the city or regency.Editor’s Choice: Building Supply Shortage Hits Jakarta’s Central Business DistrictClick here to get the latest news updates from Tempo on Google News
