Indo wins two top awards

…named brand of the year in medical and industrial gas categories

Indo-Ghana Industries Limited (IGIL), a leading manufacturer and supplier of medical and industrial gases, has been honoured with two top awards at the 2025 Ghana Corporate Brands Awards.

The company was named Brand of the Year – Medical Gas Manufacturing Company and Brand of the Year – Industrial Gas Company.

IGIL, which supplies gases to public and private health institutions as well as the beverage industry, received the recognition for its consistency, innovation, and commitment to customer satisfaction.

According to the award organizers, the company was selected based on criteria such as product delivery and responsiveness in healthcare, corporate social responsibility, brand consistency, user-focused innovation, and market impact. IGIL was commended for its leadership in adopting new technologies, ensuring product quality, and maintaining a strong brand reputation.

Founded in 2010 by India entrepreneur and industry technocrat Mr Ravi Tyagi, IGIL has built a reputation in Ghana for reliable supply of gases to industries and hospitals. Tyagi, who has four decades of experience in the global gas sector, said the award validates the company’s investment in Ghana and its long-term strategy

Speaking to media after receiving the Award the managing Director of Indo Ghana Industrie Ltd, Mr Varun Tyagi thank the organisers Maven Communications for recognising our contributions with these awards in these critical industries for Ghana.

These awards give us a reflection of the heard work determination and determinations of our entire team and enhance us consistently of delivery high quality products to our cal customers, as stakeholder in both medical and industrial sector this recognition reinforces our commitment and encouragement of our newly high-capacity medical oxygen liquid manufacturing plant in Ghana a milestone.

As stakeholder, we commend Government of Ghana for launching medical oxygen policy which brought stakeholder together to see how to address challenging affecting the industries but also appeal for implementation of the policy.

The awards body noted that IGIL had shown measurable impact through its products and corporate social responsibility programs, particularly in community development and environmental responsibility. The company was also credited with strong governance practices and efforts to train and empower its workforce.

IGIL’s operations include supply of oxygen and other gases critical to healthcare, as well as industrial gases used in manufacturing and beverage production. Its management says the company’s strategy is built on safety and efficiency while ensuring consistent supply chain operations.

The Ghana Corporate Brands Awards, now an annual fixture, is regarded as one of the leading platforms for recognizing corporate excellence in the country. The event highlights firms that have consistently delivered high-quality services, demonstrated leadership, and made positive contributions to society.

This year’s edition placed emphasis on how companies are innovating and adapting to changing market conditions.

IGIL said it sees the recognition as motivation to expand its operations and reinforce its position as one of the most trusted gas suppliers in Ghana.

“Our mission is to provide safe and pure gases while keeping our supply chain running smoothly,” the company said.

As Ghana’s economy continues to industrialize, demand for industrial and medical gases is expected to grow. IGIL says it plans to deepen investment in technology and infrastructure to support that demand while building a resilient brand presence in the market.
