IndiGo launches Mumbai–Copenhagen flights from October 8

New direct international route

New Delhi: IndiGo will begin direct flights between Mumbai and Copenhagen (Denmark) effective 8 October 2025. The airline will operate this route three times a week, marking its entry into the Scandinavian region.

Aircraft and services

The flights will be operated using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, wet-leased from Norse Atlantic Airways. Passengers will have two class options: standard Economy and IndiGoStretch, which offers premium features such as extra legroom, priority check-in, and reclinable seating. Complimentary hot meals, beverages and in-flight entertainment (with nearly 300 hours of content) will be provided.

Strategic significance

Copenhagen becomes IndiGo’s 44th international destination and its first destination in Scandinavia. The move is part of the airline’s broader plan to expand its international network, especially into Northern Europe, to meet growing demand for travel between India and European/Nordic countries.

What travellers need to know

Tickets are already on sale across IndiGo’s website, mobile app, and authorized travel partners.

With this new route, IndiGo further cements its ambition to grow beyond domestic networks and established international destinations. The Mumbai–Copenhagen direct service not only provides a faster connection for travellers to Scandinavia but also strengthens trade, tourism and educational links between the regions.
