Singer-songwriter Saahel, one of the most promising young voices in the Indian indie-pop scene, has released his latest single Saawali. The romantic track, which dropped on October 1, 2025, marks his sixth release of the year and continues his streak of heartfelt music after the success of Baarish Mein Phir.
A Song About Love Through The Eyes
Written, composed, and produced by Saahel himself, Saawali is described as a love song about the “language of the eyes.” The track captures how unspoken glances can often reveal more than words — truths, fears, and the depth of an eternal bond. Talking about the track, Saahel shared, “‘Saawali’ is my love letter to the language of the eyes. I’ve always believed that eyes hold a quiet magic. I wanted to really experiment with the groove — something modern yet rooted in our culture. The sargam in this track is my favourite part; it’s me in my purest element. ‘Saawali’ carries that spirit: tender, soulful, and rooted in emotion. It’s a song about how one gaze can change everything.”

2025 has been a prolific year for the 22-year-old artist, who has already put out five other singles: Nazarein Utaarun, Tera Pata, Tujhi Mein, Man Chala, and Baarish Mein Phir. Collectively, these songs have garnered over two million streams across platforms, further cementing his growing popularity.
With Saawali, Saahel continues to carve a distinct space for himself — one where Indian classical training meets contemporary pop sensibilities.

Over the past few years, Saahel has built an impressive portfolio. Beginning with viral covers and Hindi mashups on Instagram — including his renditions of Maan Meri Jaan, Heartbreak Anniversary, and Stay — he quickly gained traction among young listeners. His lo-fi version of Raanjhana and mashups like Premika X Ishq Wala Love and Saiyyan X Glimpse of Us turned him into a viral sensation.
In 2022, Saahel transitioned into original music, starting with Zariya, which won him the Radio City award for ‘Best Young Indie Artist of the Year’.
