Indianapolis Colts Dismantle the Tennessee Titans Behind Jonathan Taylor’s 3 Touchdowns

The Indianapolis Colts battled the Tennessee Titans in week 8 of the NFL season. This would be another offensive explosion, to say the least. Running Back Jonathan Taylor had another three-touchdown performance. That made it three straight weeks with three touchdowns. The final score was 38-14. The Colts have scored 30+ points in six of their eight games. The offense is humming right now. Let’s dive into all the numbers of the game. Colts Offense Can’t Be Stopped We have to start with Taylor when talking about this offense. It all starts up front with one of the best offensive lines in football and Quenton Nelson on the right side of the line. Nelson, alongside Center Tanor Bortolini, and the rest of the o-line gives Taylor wide-open running lanes. Today, Taylor rushed for 153 yards on 12 carries for two touchdowns. He also had two catches for 21 yards and a touchdown. Taylor continues to show why he is one of the best backs in football, if not the best! This would also be Quarterback Daniel Jones’ best game in terms of passing the football. He had a stat line of 21-of-29 for 272 yards and three touchdowns. Michael Pittman Jr. was on the receiving end for Jones most of the day. He had eight catches for 95 yards and a touchdown. Josh Downs also grabbed his second touchdown of the season against the Titans. The offense is on a historic pace. They will look to keep it going against the Steelers next Sunday. The Defense Played Better This Week The defense made plenty of plays against the Titans, with them sacking rookie Quarterback Cam Ward four times. The defense also had an interception. They only allowed the Titans’ offense to score twice. One of those came when the starters were off the gridiron. Overall, it was nice to see why the blue and white have the third-best pressure rate at 39.7%. The defense still has a lot to work on, but the secondary should get a reinforcement in Cornerback Jaylon Jones, who returned to practice last week. The team opened his 21-day practice window, and he was limited at practice this week. The Colts’ defense is getting healthier heading toward the bye in two weeks. Final Thoughts The Colts continue to show why they are for real every week. The way this offense moves the ball and how the defense bends but does not break. This team just shows up ready to play every game and shows no signs of slowing down. Stay tuned to Total Apex Sports all season long.
