In unfortunate news from the world of sports, Indian Jujitsu player Rohini Kalam has passed away, after the martial arts coach was found dead at her home in Dewas, Madhya Pradesh, on October 26. Initial findings by the Police suggest that 35-year-old Kalam committed suicide and was discovered by her younger sister Roshini hanging in her family's home room in Arjun Nagar. As per a report in India Today, the family members took Rohini to a local hospital, who declared the international Jujitsu dead on arrival, with police stating Rohini died by suicide despite a lack of a suicide note at the scene. The report further suggests that Roshini stated to the police that her elder sister worked as a martial arts coach at a private school in Ashta, and was undergoing stress at her job, before returning home on Saturday, and completed her routine on Sunday morning, before going to her room after talking to someone on the phone.
