India launches Swayamgati, world’s first driverless auto equipped with innovative features, price is…

New Delhi: A major milestone has been created in the Indian electric mobility sector. Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM) has launched the worlds first autonomous electric three-wheeler the Swayamgati. Its price starts at just Rs 4 lakh. This vehicle is now ready for commercial use. Lets find out more about it.
Built on AI-based autonomy system
Swayamgati is built on OSMs electric platform and AI-based autonomy system. It will be able to operate without a driver in short-distance transport areas such as airports smart campuses industrial parks gated communities and crowded urban areas. The vehicle is pre-mapped and configured to ensure safe and smooth travel along the designated route.
Price and features
The OSM Swayamgati starts at Rs 4 lakh for the passenger version while the cargo version is priced at Rs 4.15 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom). Bookings are now open and deliveries will start immediately. The Omega Seiki Mobility Swayamgati is powered by a 10.3kWh battery pack with a range of up to 120km on a single charge. It is equipped with Lidar GPS obstacle detection up to six metres multi-sensor navigation and remote safety controls allowing the vehicle to run pre-mapped routes without any driver input.
Swayamgati recently completed a 3-kilometer autonomous route testing which included seven stops real-time obstacle detection and passenger safety. All this was accomplished without a driver. The company is now preparing it for commercial rollout in Phase 2.
Global autonomous vehicle market
According to a 2025 McKinsey report the global autonomous vehicle market will exceed $620 billion by 2030. In this context Swayamgati is Indias first product that will not only match this rapidly growing trend but also lead it. In a country like India where traffic and last-mile connectivity are major challenges this technology brings a safe and affordable solution.
OSM Founder and Chairman Uday Narang said that Swayamgati is not just a product but a step towards shaping Indias transportation future. Autonomous vehicles are no longer a dream but a necessity. It proves that technologies like AI and LiDAR can be manufactured in India and at an affordable cost.
