‘I’m so proud, but so bummed out’: How Celebrations with Lacey Chabert season 2 missed out one major detail

This could mean season 3 is likely to happen

Celebrations with Lacey Chabert returns with season 2.

Forget the typical TV shows and movies you’d normally stream on Hallmark+, Celebrations with Lacey Chabert season 2 is what September is all about. As the streaming service continues to grow its unscripted content, the Mean Girls star and Queen of Hallmark celebrates more inspiring people while planning epic parties for their communities.

Chabert has over 40 Hallmark movies to her name (exactly 44, as she tells me during our interview), but the new TV show is her first foray into hosting unscripted content. She’s also serving as executive producer while simultaneously promoting and filming Halloween and Christmas movies for the streamer too. Basically, she’s booked and busy.
Amazingly though, there’s something Celebrations with Lacey Chabert season 2 didn’t quite achieve that Chabert wishes it did. From what she tells me, I think season 3 is basically a given, and that’s good news for everybody.

Lacey Chabert ‘bummed out’ that Celebrations season 2 cut out so much material

Preview – Celebrations with Lacey Chabert – Season 2 – YouTube

“I’m really thankful that Hallmark has given me the chance to wear those different hats, but you have to wear the hat appropriately,” Chabert tells me about her different production roles. “When I’m executive producing a movie that I’m also acting in, I can’t watch the cut of the movie and critique myself from a personal point of view. I have to look at myself from an audience point of view and and from a story point of view. And it’s actually been a really cool exercise to learn how to do that.

“With Celebrations, the only thing I’m bummed about –because I’m so proud of the show –is that we weren’t able to include everything that we filmed. There’s so much incredible footage as we got to learn about our heroes through their friends and the people who benefit from their hard work. We learned to be very flexible and go with the flow. ”
Nevertheless, Celebrations with Lacey Chabert season 2 is bursting with enough heartwarming moments to make you run out of Kleenex in under an hour. Much like similar TV formulas that have come before, such as Queer Eye and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, there are elements viewers will be able to replicate in their own lives, and that’s the part Chabert thinks outweighs the clips left on the cutting room floor.
“We had these happy little accidents all the time that really left me feeling so excited about what we were able to do that day. Then there’s also the party aspect of the show, which I’m really excited about. Lisa [Friedman] and Marisa [Lainer], our incredible planners, show you that you don’t have to do something overly expensive or lavish to make it have an incredible impact. It’s all about the details.

“It just brings me to tears, honestly, hearing these stories of a very difficult and challenging phase of life, and being able to turn that challenge into a blessing for other people.” If that doesn’t scream for season 3 to be made without delay, I don’t know what does.
Celebrations with Lacey Chabert season 2 begins airing on The Hallmark Channel and Hallmark+ from September 15.
