'I’m Open For Business' – Cowboys Looking For Trade Partners

Cowboys Jerry Jones: “I’m Open” To Another Trade

At this point, it’s safe to assume any trade will address the defensive side of the ball. While they could obviously use another pass rusher, it’s hard to envision the Cowboys giving up draft picks acquired in the Micah Parsons trade for a lesser option at a similar position. This team’s biggest issue is probably in the secondary, and while the eventual return of DaRon Bland will improve the unit, they could use another safety. San Francisco’s Ji’Ayir Brown is a natural fit, as the third-year safety is currently falling down the depth chart and playing a pseudo-linebacker role for Kyle Shanahan’s squad.

While the offense is not a worry for the Dallas Cowboys, they could use additional depth at running back. Javonte Williams has done a remarkable job through two games, but how long can this last? Even if Williams can maintain this pace for a full season, Miles Sanders looks like a shell of himself, and fifth-round pick Jaydon Blue can’t get onto the field. If the Cowboys want another running back, they could trade with the Saints for Alvin Kamara. Kamara isn’t the player he used to be, but he’s still a solid starter who would probably prefer to play on a team with more legitimate postseason aspirations.
