Finland's Minister of Social Affairs and Health Kaisa Juuso (Finns) has hired her own son as her parliamentary assistant, according to a report by tabloid Iltalehti. IL writes that 25-year-old Ville Rajainmäki began his new role on 8 September. He replaces Juuso's former parliamentary assistant Mikko Talso, who caused controversy earlier this year when he referred to benefits recipients as "losers" in a Facebook post. Talso later apologised for his comments. "In retrospect, I could have made it clearer that I was referring specifically to the ideologically unemployed. I regret this," Talso wrote at the time. Juuso described his post as "undeniably unpleasant and unsuccessful" but said in May that terminating the employment relationship because of one mistake would be unreasonable".
