IIM Ranchi successfully concluded the second five-day residential training programme for the Official Representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions, organized under the guidance of the Directorate of Panchayati Raj as part of the National Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (NGSA). The programme saw the participation of Block Heads, Deputy Block Heads, and District Panchayati Raj Officers (DPROs) from five districts of Jharkhand. Over five days, participants underwent extensive sessions designed to enhance their leadership capacity, planning, and administrative efficiency in rural governance. The training covered key areas such as the Right to Service and effective service delivery mechanisms, budget preparation and monitoring, digital tools for Panchayat-level administration, village development planning, and employment generation at the grassroots level. Additionally, discussions focused on the optimum use of government resources, implementation of welfare schemes, and promotion of awareness related to health, nutrition, and sanitation. Participants were encouraged to adopt a knowledge-sharing and collaborative approach for achieving sustainable rural development. The sessions also highlighted the importance of strengthening community engagement, empowering women, and promoting participatory decision-making. In the valedictory session, Programme Directors, Prof. Amit Sachan (Dean EEC) and Prof. Manish Bansal (Chairperson EEC), encouraged participants to share their experiences and emphasized the importance of continuing such meaningful initiatives. Participants expressed gratitude for the opportunity to enhance their understanding of effective governance practices. Certificates were presented to them, marking the successful completion of the training programme. The five-day training concluded with a message of commitment to applying the acquired knowledge and skills to strengthen local governance and accelerate rural development across their respective regions.
