The mystery behind Chinese actor Yu Menglong’s death deepens as new explosive details surface, adding more suspense. The actor, 37, died after accidentally falling off a building on September 11, 2025. With the permission, Deng published the full 2,000-character letter, a text message Menglong sent her shortly before his fatal fall.Menglong’s final letter revealed the dark side of the Chinese film industry. “The darkness in this business is far beyond what I imagined. If you keep your integrity, you’re doomed—at best blacklisted and frozen out, at worst your life itself is at risk, toyed with by powerful people until you’re destroyed,” it further read.In the letter to his mother, the actor asserted that he had aspired to be an exception and said that he regrets everything and wants to go back and live a quiet liefe with her.“Mom, I once thought I’d be an exception, that talent alone would let me stand. But reality cuts like a knife. Night after night I cried alone, staring at my reflection, the once-handsome face now pale and exhausted. Why is this world so cruel? The latest details emerged days after audio recordings surfaced, allegedly capturing the moment when Yu Menglong’s abdomen was cut open to retrieve a USB drive, according to The Vision Times.
