Barry Manilow released a new video for his single “Once Before I Go” on Tuesday, Nov. 11 in advance of his final concert dates in select cities that are set for next year. The video clip for the song–produced by Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds and Demonte Posey and written by Peter Allen and Dean Pitchford–was shot at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, a place that is no stranger to Manilow. In 2023, he broke the record for the most shows at the International Theater, a record previously held by Elvis Presley. Manilow will return to the Westgate in 2026 with select dates in February through December to extend his “lifetime residency” known as Manilow: Las Vegas – The Hits Come Home! 🎬 SIGN UP for Parade’s Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬 However, he is saying goodbye to touring with a series of final dates in various cities, beginning Jan. 6 in Sunrise, Fla. through Jan. 18 in Columbus, Ohio. The video clip for “Once Before I Go,” directed by Jamie Thraves, captures that farewell vibe as Manilow croons reflectively about his life while looking back at his career and the sacrifices he’s made, including forgoing a traditional family life. During Manilow’s more than 50-year career, he has become one of the most successful entertainers in history, with sales of more than 85 million albums worldwide and was named the No. 1 Adult Contemporary Artist of all time by Billboard magazine with 51 top 40 singles, including 13 No. 1s and 28 top 10 hits. He also topped the Billboard album chart twice, in 2006 with The Greatest Songs of the Fifties and in 1977 with Barry Manilow Live. Doubts With Early Success The success of the latter album came when Manilow was having a hard time adjusting to life in the spotlight. “I remember it being the worst time of my life, and the best of times,” he said to me in an interview for The Billboard Book of Number One Albums. “It was the first peak of this pop career of mine and it was a very confusing and unnatural thing to go through at the time.” Despite his success, early in his career, Manilow had doubts about his performing prowess. To pad out his live show, he included “A Very Strange Medley,” which featured commercial jingles from Kentucky Fried Chicken, State Farm Insurance, Stridex facial pads, Band-Aids, Dr. Pepper, Pepsi, Bowlene toilet cleaner, and McDonalds, some of which were written by Manilow before he became a star. “Before ‘Mandy’ I didn’t feel that I could keep the audience’s attention with a whole hour of original material, so in desperation I put that that together and the crowd went nuts. It was still in the stage show when we recorded Live.” Barry Manilow 2026 Tour Dates The Last Sunrise Show – Sunrise, FL @ Amerant Bank Arena on January 6 The Last Orlando Show – Orlando, FL @ Kia Center on January 7 The Last Tampa Show – Tampa, FL @ Benchmark International Arena on January 8 The Last Estero Show – Estero, FL @ Hertz Arena on January 10 & 11 The Last Jacksonville Show – Jacksonville, FL @VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena on January 12 The Last Charleston Show – Charleston, SC @ North Charleston Coliseum on January 14 The Last Greensboro Show – Greensboro, NC @ First Horizon Coliseum on January 15 The Last Duluth Show – Duluth, GA @ Gas South Arena on January 16 The Last Columbus Show – Columbus, OH @ Nationwide Arena on January 18
