This meeting, held at PNH headquarters, aimed to strengthen security cooperation between the two countries. Japan reaffirmed its concrete support, demonstrated by the construction of a police station in Miragoâne and the planning for the reconstruction of other police infrastructure destroyed by gangs… The PNH outlined its priority needs : equipment for firefighters, armored vehicles, regular vehicles, and the construction of a hospital dedicated to its personnel. Despite some successes, the PNH continues to face a lack of equipment, training, and logistical challenges. Ambassador Nishiuchi pledged to convey these requests to his government.
