This Haitian participation was made possible thanks to the support of UNESCO, which enabled several Haitian artisans to showcase their unique expertise in the art of metal cutting, a symbol of the creativity and resilience of the Haitian people. This collaboration with UNESCO illustrates the growing international recognition of Haitian crafts, particularly the metal cutting art of Noailles, a true ambassador of Haitian heritage and creativity on the cultural stage of the Americas. Under the banner of sharing and creativity, the opening day brought together representatives from eight countries in the Americas: Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Haiti, Guatemala, Chile, and Paraguay, the latter being the guest of honor for the 2025 edition. True to its mission, the festival promotes, markets, and celebrates folk arts, while supporting the economic development of the craft sector at the local and regional levels. IH/ iciHaiti
