Ice Spice has shared a new single, “Baddie Baddie.” The rousing track was produced by the rapper’s longtime collaborator RiotUSA and samples M.I.A.’s 2012 hit “Bad Girls.”
The song is Ice Spice’s first solo release since she dropped Y2K!: I’m Just A Girl (Deluxe) last December. The album added five new songs to her July 2024 LP Y2K!, including “Hannah Montana” featuring NLE Choppa and DaBaby.
“They said thеy wanted a bop? I was just poppin’ my shit,” Ice Spice spits on the two-minute track. “I ain’t even really mean to go pop.”
Since releasing Y2K!: I’m Just A Girl (Deluxe) Ice Spice has worked with several other artists. Earlier this month, she teamed up with Latto on “Gyatt,” which marked the first collaboration between the two rappers and effectively squashed rumors of the pair’s feud. She also made her film debut in Spike Lee’s most recent film, Highest 2 Lowest, starring Denzel Washington and A$AP Rocky.

Earlier this year, Ice Spice told Rolling Stone her creative process has stayed the same throughout her career. “Everything kind of changes a little bit slowly throughout the years, but, it’s pretty consistent,” she said. “Or, like, I have things that I do that I’m comfortable with. I take a lot of breaks in between recording songs. So I don’t just, sit and go through it. I get up, do things, eat, or whatever, and then come back to it the next day.”
She added of making music, “I usually get into the studio and pull up some beats that I already know that I kind of vibe with, and I like to just start coming up with the top line. And once I come up with the first line, I usually just move on into the hook and I build slowly from there.”
