Ice Cube’s tour bus catches fire in downtown Portland

Rapper and entertainment mogul Ice Cube’s tour bus was damaged by a fire in downtown Portland Tuesday morning, according to a public relations firm that promotes the artist.
Portland firefighters responded to a blaze on the front passenger tire of a charter bus Tuesday morning at Southwest Broadway and Oak Street, said Rick Graves, a Portland Fire & Rescue spokesperson.
Graves said the fire was under investigation and did not know who the bus belonged to. Tresa Sanders, the founder and CEO of the public relations firm TreMedia, confirmed the vehicle was Ice Cube’s tour bus.
Through a spokesperson, Cube said, “I’m not taking this incident as a personal attack. A coward like that would burn anybody’s property that was out there at the time.”
The 56-year-old entertainment artist had made a stop in Portland as part of his Truth to Power tour, where he highlighted four decades of hip hop. Cube, whose name is O’Shea Jackson Sr., performed at the Moda Center Monday night.
