The road to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 takes centre stage in Harare, Zimbabwe, as the Africa Qualifier is set to unfold between 26 September and 4 October 2025.

The tournament brings together eight of the continent’s top cricketing nations, battling for a coveted place at the global showpiece.

The participating teams have been split into two groups:

Group A: Namibia, Kenya, Nigeria, MalawiGroup B: Uganda, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Botswana

Matches will be hosted at Harare Sports Club and Takashinga Cricket Club. All of Zimbabwe’s games will be at the former.

Key Fixtures to Watch

The tournament opener on 26 September sees Namibia take on Kenya at Harare Sports Club, while Nigeria faces Malawi at Takashinga Cricket Club.Host nation Zimbabwe begin their campaign against Uganda in the afternoon clash at Harare Sports Club.

Knockout Rounds

The group stages conclude on 30 September, paving the way for the semi-finals on 2 October. Group toppers and runners-up will clash in SF1 and SF2, while placement play-offs ensure every team remains competitive until the end.

The tournament culminates on 4 October with the grand final at Harare Sports Club, alongside classification matches for 3rd, 5th, and 7th place.

The finalists get to the T20 World Cup 2026.
