Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko has officially tied the knot with his long-time partner, Ruweida Abubakar, in a colorful ceremony held in Tema.
The former Ghana international exchanged vows in the presence of family, close friends, former teammates, and officials of Medeama SC.
Just a day after leading Medeama SC to a commanding win over Vision FC in the Ghana Premier League, Ibrahim Tanko celebrated a special milestone off the pitch.
The head coach tied the knot with his long-time partner in Tema on Saturday, September 20, 2025.
The victory at the Tarkwa and Aboso Stadium had lifted Medeama three points clear at the top of the league table, making the weekend even more memorable.
The former Accra Lions coach has quickly made his mark at Medeama SC, transforming the team into early-season title contenders with back-to-back victories in their opening two matches of the 2025/26 campaign.
Tanko’s bright start, however, will see its momentum briefly interrupted, as his honeymoon period comes to an end due to pressing club activities with Medeama.
The coach is expected to swiftly rejoin the squad as preparations begin for a challenging away clash against Karela United at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale.
That fixture is already shaping up to be a crucial test for Medeama, who are determined to maintain their early lead in the Ghana Premier League title race.
