“If the BJP high command continues B.Y. Vijayendra as the State unit party president, then I will form a new party and name it JCB. It will be based on Hindutva principles,” expelled BJP MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal said in Belagavi on Wednesday. He explained that it did not refer to the brand name of a private earthmover company but that it will be a party that will admit defectors from all major parties, the Janata Dal(S), the Congress and the BJP. “And, hence the acronym, JCB, will be the name of the party,” he said. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi was not made the Prime Minister by any party leader but by the people. Now, the people of this country expect Yogi Adityanath to replace him. Similarly, in Karnataka, they want Basanagouda Patil Yatnal to be the Chief Minister. I already have the support of over 50 MLAs in the BJP alone. I am confident that the BJP will accept my terms and welcome me back into the party. My condition is that Mr. Vijayendra should not be allowed to continue as the State unit president. But if they do not do that, then I will form a new party. I have a lot of support across the State. I am recognised as a true Hindutva leader,” he said. Mr. Yatnal said that there will be a major change in Karnataka politics in a few months. “Mallikarjun Kharge will replace Siddaramaiah as the Chief Minister. I have clear information from inside the Congress. There will be a November revolution and there will be a new Chief Minister. But none of the leaders who are aspiring for the chair will be appointed. AICC chairman Mallikarjun Kharge will replace Siddaramaiah as the Chief Minister,” Mr. Yatnal said.
