TCL QM7K — Best Budget 65-inch Mini-LED TV
If money is tight, but you still want satisfactory picture quality for the price, the TCL QM7K Mini-LED TV is an excellent bargain. I went with the 65-inch model for my pick, but you really can’t go wrong with any size, especially seeing how cheap it is right now.
The QM7K is a solid choice for sports fans because it’s designed with motion processing in mind. It leverages a 144Hz refresh rate, but can also be boosted up to 288Hz for PC gaming. You can also expect great upscaling.
We also noted the QM7K has great color in both SDR and HDR, plus it has high brightness, so if you’re watching in a sunnier room, you won’t have to worry about reflections.
LG C5 OLED — Best Value OLED TV
You’ll find very few OLED TVs these days under $1,000 that are worth the investment, but the LG C5 OLED TV bucks that trend. It’s one of the only TVs we gave a perfect score this year, and that’s largely because it’s one of the best OLED TVs for the price.
I decided to go with the 48-inch for this piece, but you can’t go wrong with any size variation for the LG C5. It’s equipped with a 144Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, and has some of the best upscaling I’ve seen in a TV. It will easily make you feel like you’re on the sidelines this NFL season.
TCL QM6K — Best Budget 85-inch TV
If you have the space for a massive TV, the QM6K is worth a tryout in your living room. You can get its 75-inch model right now for under $1,000, yet it still offers exceptional value where it counts. Although the TCL QM6K Mini-LED TV sits at the bottom of TCL’s 2025 lineup, it’s still loaded with features to make everything from the Stanley Cup to the World Series look impeccable.
You’ll also have Google TV at your disposal, netting you access to tons of free channels and all the best streaming services. It’s one of our favorite TV interfaces, as it’s easy to navigate and has fewer ads than most competitors.
Hisense U8QG — Best Budget 65-inch Mini-LED TV
As one of the few budget TVs this year with a 165Hz refresh rate, the Hisense U8QG Mini-LED TV is a no-brainer for sports. I reviewed this Mini-LED TV earlier this year and was dazzled by its extreme brightness and slew of features.
The Hisense U8QG also has a serious sound system if you don’t want to pay extra for one of the best soundbars. I was pleasantly surprised by its audio performance, making light work of action-heavy scenes in “The Batman” while still making dialogue easy to understand.
The best part about the U8QG is its price. It’s one of the cheapest TVs you can buy right now, yet it still packs a wallop in performance.
Samsung S90F — Best Mid-range OLED TV
I’ve been recommending the Samsung S90F OLED TV to all my friends. It’s a serious game winner if you’re aiming for the best middle ground; not too high a premium, but just the right amount of performance.
One thing to keep in mind is that Samsung doesn’t support Dolby Vision, so you will miss out on the HDR format. Aside from that, it’s largely built around being one of the best OLED TVs at a great price.
It has a 144Hz refresh rate, excellent HDR brightness for an OLED to handle glare, and incredible upscaling. Tizen OS leaves a little bit on the table, but it is also home to a slew of free channels like LG’s webOS, if that’s what you’re looking for in a new TV.
You can also expect great off-axis viewing. That means if you have a larger group of people over, even the guests sitting off the side still get great picture quality, which is a common issue with Mini-LED TVs.
LG B5 — Best Budget 65-inch OLED TV
If you’re aiming to get an OLED TV at a larger screen size, but don’t want to spend over $1,500 for it, the LG B5 is good enough for sports. It doesn’t offer the most robust set of features or even an exceptionally high input latency (just 120Hz), but it is marked down to a great price for an OLED right now.
Although the LG B5 OLED TV didn’t fare too well in our review, it does have a few silver linings: It runs on webOS, which is home to a wide swath of free content, getting you in the door on a variety of sporting events without paying a thing.
LG Channels offers an exclusive NCAA Championships channel, plus has many other sports broadcasts that make webOS a prime candidate for fans looking to save on streaming bills.
Panasonic Z95B — Best Premium OLED TV
If you’re looking to upgrade your entertainment setup with the most powerful, most feature-rich display, the Panasonic Z95B OLED TV should be your go-to. It’s built to offer exceptional picture performance and incredible audio, but they come at a hefty premium.
I loved last year’s Panasonic Z95A, and all the same amazing values that make it awesome make their way onto the newest model. It’s kitted with both HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, so you don’t have to worry if you’re getting full HDR coverage.
You can also rest assured that the Z95B will make every game feel like you’ve got a front row seat. A high refresh rate of 144Hz coupled with incredible motion handling makes it hard to beat, and that speaker system offers best-in-class audio that you won’t find on any other TV.
