By DayakDaily Team KUCHING, Nov 8: The i-CATS University College’s 250-hectare campus will rank as the region’s most advanced, with construction commencing next year and completion projected within four years. According to a TVS news report, Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg said the campus will equip students with cutting-edge technology and skills, preparing them for the challenges of the modern workforce. “This campus will give students access to the latest technological tools and learning environments, ensuring they are ready to contribute effectively to the economy,” he said during the 27th i-CATS University College Convocation Ceremony here today. Beyond its academic focus, the campus is expected to stimulate local development in Kampung Trombol and surrounding areas, creating jobs during construction and after completion while improving infrastructure and business opportunities for the community. “This project reflects the State government’s commitment to strengthening Sarawak’s knowledge economy, ensuring students from all backgrounds can access quality education while communities benefit from sustainable growth,” he added. — DayakDaily
