A mum claiming more than £1,500 from the Department for Work and Pensions ( DWP ) in a mixture of benefits wants taxpayers to fund her mini break. Emily Cutter has grown a huge online following by being a 'benefits influencer' and says it's her fans who should pay for her holiday, not her. The 37-year-old wants strangers to donate to her all-inclusive holiday in Turkey, the Canary Islands or Spain. She says: “I need a child-free break and I know people will want to help me pay for it. If other people can beg for cash on GoFundMe then why can’t I? More people should do the same.” Discussing her crowdfunding campaign, Emily said: “I’m sharing it on my socials because everyone else who crowdfunds does the same. I’m not hiding anything. I want other people on UC to know they have options. “I know I’ll receive both support and hate – that’s normal. My aim is to prove there are more kind people than haters willing to help." The mum-of-three, who claims Universal Credit , went on to ask the Sun newspaper: “I am also desperate just for a few days away. What’s wrong with that?” Emily explains: “A mini break is an essential expense for me. I have to recharge to deal with the vile abuse I get online. Haters have no idea how hard it is being a mother and how hard I work dealing with their comments about my benefits lifestyle.” The mum began claiming Universal Credit after giving up her OnlyFans account in 2023, where she was earning £20,000 a month. Emily explains: “It was damaging my mental health and self-esteem. I wanted out, so I quit and applied for Universal Credit. “I thought I’d saved enough to last until Christmas , but within three months I was skint.”
