Hyderabad Police Take Stringent Action, Repatriate 23 Illegal Foreign Nationals

Rajendranagar Police in Hyderabad have taken stringent action against illegal foreign nationals, successfully repatriating 23 individuals to their home countries.
The Police, in coordination with the Special Operations Team (SOT) Shamshabad, carried out a raid at a farmhouse in Bakaram revenue village, uncovering 51 foreign nationals (14 males and 37 females) celebrating a birthday party. The group included 37 Ugandans, 2 Nigerians, 3 Liberians, and others from Botswana, Kenya, Cameroon, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Ghana, and Malawi.
Document verification revealed that 36 of the foreigners were illegally overstaying in India without valid passports, visas, or proper documentation, comprising 7 males and 29 females.
Of these, 24 individuals submitted their original passports. Exit (Leave India) permission was obtained from FRRO Hyderabad for 20 persons, who were subsequently repatriated, while the remaining four were placed in detention centres.
Twelve others, who only had photocopies of their passports, were processed using One-Time Travel Documents (OTDs) obtained from the relevant embassies in Delhi, leading to the repatriation of three individuals.
So far, a total of 23 nationals — 22 Ugandans and 1 Sudanese, including 20 females and 3 males — have been repatriated. Efforts are ongoing for the remaining nine, with OTDs already secured for six, who are expected to be sent back within a week. Repatriation for the final three (5 Ugandans and 1 Cameroonian) will follow once permission is granted.
Officials said the action was part of continued efforts to ensure compliance with immigration laws and prevent illegal stays in the country.
