Hyderabad Begins to Recover as Cyclone Montha Moves Away: Check Weather Forecast for November’s First Week

Rain in Hyderabad is easing, and the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has not issued any weather warning for the city. The impact of Cyclone Montha is diminishing after it began to weaken on Thursday, following its landfall in Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday evening. However, it still disrupted life in parts of neighbouring Telangana, causing traffic jams and waterlogging across several areas. “The cyclone has been weakening for the past six hours and may turn into a depression within the next six hours. Northern and eastern districts of Telangana are likely to receive heavy to very heavy rain, while three districts may see extremely heavy rainfall. It is moving north and northwest at a speed of 15 kmph. Tomorrow, some areas will get light to moderate rain, while a few isolated places may receive heavy rain. Weather conditions across Telangana are expected to improve after tomorrow,” IMD scientist Dr A. Dharma Raju had informed after the landfall.
