A significant health update has emerged on one professional wrestling icon who has been hospitalized. The X account of Book Pro Wrestlers has revealed that 84-year-old WWE Hall of Famer Abdullah the Butcher is in good spirits and recovering after word broke that he was battling "serious health issues." "Abdullah the Butcher – Official Update. This photo was taken earlier today. Abby is awake, recovering, smiling, and in great spirits. Official from his team as of 6:30 PM. Please keep him in your prayers as he continues his road to recovery," Book Pro Wrestlers wrote in a new statement. Abdullah the Butcher has been known for his iconic feuds with the likes of Terry and Dory Funk Jr., as well as Bruiser Brody, Carlos Colon, and Giant Baba. His matches were known for being bloody, and the scars on his head prove that Abdullah the Butcher was never one to shy away from blading. Barry Windham recently revealed to Bill Apter that Mike Rotunda, known as Irwin R. Schyster to WWE fans in the 90s, is in hospice care. Rotunda is also the father of the late Bray Wyatt and Bo Dallas, who plays the role of Uncle Howdy in the Wyatt Sicks faction. Popular Attitude Era star Rikishi, also known as Headshrinker Fatu and The Sultan, recently had a sudden health issue that forced him to undergo unexpected surgery.
