Did you know Ireland, specifically Co Meath, is considered the birthplace of Halloween? So much so that Púca festival will be taking place across Trim and Athboy until Sunday, celebrating the Celtic roots of the occasion. But when it comes to Halloween itself, opinions are as mixed as a trick-or-treater’s bag. Some people plan their costumes and parties weeks in advance, others scramble for a last-minute outfit, and a few prefer to skip the spooky season altogether.
