Heavy rains and landslides wreaked havoc in the state throughout September and the first week of October. Dehradun witnessed such a deluge for the first time. Although the Meteorological Department has clarified that there is no warning of any kind of rain until next week, but some places may remain lightly cloudy and the cold may increase, especially during the night and morning when the mercury will drop.

Clear weather is expected in Uttarakhand from October 13th to 20th. According to the Meteorological Center, Dehradun, no rain is forecast in any of the state’s districts, and bright sunshine will cause daytime temperatures to rise slightly above normal. Maximum temperatures will remain normal or slightly above normal during this period, while minimum temperatures will drop, resulting in a severe chill in the morning and night.

Sharp drop in temperature in the morning and evening

There will be a feeling of mild heat during the day in Dehradun and other parts of the state, but the evening will remain cool due to cold winds. There will be a huge difference in temperature between day and night and due to such changing weather, it will be necessary to take precautions regarding health.

Snowfall in the mountains

According to the Meteorological Department, snowfall continues in the mountainous regions of Uttarakhand, bringing mild cold. Snowfall continues in the higher Himalayan regions, including Kedarnath and Badrinath. This is likely to bring a cold wave to the plains of the state.
