The "2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony" is here - that time of the year when the music business gathers to reward its own brilliance, applaud itself and let us behind the curtain to witness and pay homage. And we don't really mind because, as these kind of events go, it is usually a bit more kick ass than the others... There were a few bands among the nominees that didn't make it this year who really should be at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this year (read on to see that list in full) but nobody can really complain about the final seven acts to make the cut - Bad Company, Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker, Cyndi Lauper, Outkast, Soundgarden and The White Stripes. And hold on, Salt N Pepa's here as 2025 Musical Influence honorees along with Warren "Werewolves of London" Zevon while Nicky Hopkins, who died aged 50 in 1994, Thom Bell, 1943 to 2022, and Carol Kaye, still going strong at the age of 90, are rewarded with recognition in the Musical Excellence category (aka the "Unsung Heroes" section). Hopkins provided piano for The Rolling Stones (from "Their Satanic Majesties..." through to "Tattoo You"), The Beatles, The Who ("Who's Next") and The Kinks among others and Bell is remembered as one of the creators of Philadelphia soul in the 1970s and was inducted into both the Songwriters and Musicians Halls of Fame during his lifetime. Carol Kaye, who is choosing not to attend the ceremony, has worked with everyone from Ritchie Valens on "La Bamba" in 1958 to both Frank Sinatra and Frank Zappa as well as Glenn Campbell on "Wichita Lineman" and with the Beach Boys on the seminal "Pet Sounds" album. The Ahmet Ertegun Award will go to DreamWorks Records co-founder Lenny Waronker. Read on to find out all you need to watch "2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony" online from anywhere.
