International rugby is back this weekend, with Scotland taking on the United States of America in the first match of the Quilter Nations series at Murrayfield. Head coach Gregor Townsend will be keen for his side to begin their autumn campaign on a positive note, and knows his men will come into this clash as favourites, having previously beaten the Americans out in Washington DC last year. Scott Lawrence: “It’s been good travels so far, we were able to align and get a training session in Washington DC before the flight, thanks to the support of Mount Saint Mary’s and Old Glory. So far the team has adapted well to the travel and have good clarity here in Edinburgh. “This game is another opportunity to elevate our standard of play, work on playing faster and more physical as we build to where we want to be at test match level.”
