The leaders of the AFC East are 6-2 coming into this meeting after taking care of business against the Cleveland Browns last week, 32-13. Drake Maye had his second-most passing yards in a game this season and most since the season opener with 282 after going 18-for-24 on his attempts for three touchdowns and one interception along with 50 rushing yards. He was able to excel despite being sacked six times throughout the game, five of which were by Myles Garrett. There were three players with at least 75 scrimmage yards in running back TreVeyon Henderson (75 rushing yards), and wide receivers Mack Hollins (89 receiving yards) and Kayshon Boutte (75 receiving yards). And on defense New England had a couple interceptions to keep the turnover battle even, but only managed to get one sack of their own. Kicker Andy Borregales was perfect on his kicks, making three field goals and three extra points. Now comes the Falcons, who are 3-4 after losing two straight, the most recent of which was a 34-10 beat down by the Miami Dolphins. Without quarterback Michael Penix last week, Atlanta turned to veteran backup Kirk Cousins, but without a run game or a creative passing approach to heavily feature star running back Bijan Robinson, the Falcons’ offense failed to take flight as it barley eclipsed 200 total yards. Additionally, a Robinson fumble was the lone turnover in the game, and it came in the red zone, and it set up a Dolphins touchdown.
