After opening the season with a loss at Kansas, Fresno State has reeled off four straight wins, including a 23-21 victory at Hawaii last week in its conference opener. K’Vion Thunderbird returned an interception for a 59-yard touchdown with 5:20 left, and the defense stopped a potential game-tying two-point try with 10 seconds to go. E.J. Warner, the son of Hall of Famer Kurt Warner, threw for 230 yards and a touchdown.
Nevada returns from a bye week off two consecutive losses, including a 31-16 defeat at Western Kentucky on Sept. 20. The lone win for the Wolf Pack was a 20-17 decision over visiting FCS Sacramento State on Sept. 6, and they are 0-3 against FBS competition. They have lost their last four meetings with Fresno State. Quarterback Chubba Purdy threw for 494 yards with six interceptions and just one touchdown while leading the team with 276 rushing yards.
