After the Charlie Kirk controversy that saw Disney suspend his show for nearly a week, Jimmy Kimmel will be back on the air Tuesday night.
While “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” will resume its 11:35 p.m. ET broadcast on ABC, TV station group owners Nexstar Media and Sinclair said they will continue to preempt the show. Together, over one-fourth of ABC’s roughly 240 national stations will not carry the program for the time being.
That said, cable-cutters can still stream Jimmy Kimmel live online through a variety of live TV streamers with access to ABC. The best way to stream “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” is on DirecTV, Sling TV (Blue) and Hulu + Live TV.
If you’re just looking to tune into the singular return episode, you’re best bet is paying $4.99 for Sling’s newly launched 24-hour Day Pass.
Kimmel’s first guests upon returning will be Glen Powell and Sarah McLachlan. McLachlan’s appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” is particularly notable as she recently made a show of solidarity with the late night host at a Disney event.
Powell, who will be Kimmel’s primary sit-down guest on Tuesday’s episode, is currently promoting a Disney project of his own. “Chad Powers,” the sports comedy series he co-created with Michael Waldron and stars in, premieres on Hulu on Sept. 30.
Disney’s ABC announced it would take Kimmel‘s popular late-night show off its schedule “indefinitely” last week after remarks the host made about the killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. The directive came from Nextar Media. On Monday, celebrities wrote an ACLU open letter backing Kimmel, only a few short afters after ABC announced they would resume his show, however they made no mention of the letter
