After showing little life in an 80-68 Game 1 defeat, the Fever came roaring back in Game 2, with an impressive wire-to-wire performance, defeating the Dream 77-60 in a game in which they never trailed.
Kelsey Mitchell led the team with 19 points in Game 2, making 6-of-13 shots from the field, including 4-of-8 from the 3-point line. Aliyah Boston added 15 points, with Natasha Howard chipping in 12 of her own. As a team, the Fever went a perfect 15-for-15 from the free-throw line and outrebounded the Dream 37-27.
Atlanta struggled out of the gate, trailing by six after the first quarter, after being outscored 14-0 from the 3-point and free-throw lines combined. That trend would continue, as they’d be outscored 39-20 from those areas for the game. Te-Hina PaoPao would lead all Dream scorers with 11 off the bench, with Rhyne Howard (10 points) representing the only starter to finish in double digits.
