How to watch Celtic v Red Star Belgrade on TV tonight - channel and kick-off time

While it may not be the Champions League, two clubs with significant continental pedigree are set to clash in the Europa League tonight. Celtic are heading to the Serbian capital to face FK Crvena Zvezda – or Red Star Belgrade as they’re traditionally known – and a strong start in this competition could alleviate some of the pressure on Peter Lawwell and his team regarding their perceived lack of investment. Back home, Celtic remain unbeaten and have secured a Premier Sports quarter-final date with Rangers at the weekend following an impressive 4-0 victory over Partick Thistle. They needn’t look too far back for inspiration from a Scottish team triumphing in Belgrade; Hibs managed a 2-0 win against FK Partizan across town in the qualifiers. Players like Sebastian Tounekti are showing promise and will be eager to get Celtic off to a flying start in the Europa League. Here’s everything you need to know about the match, reports the Daily Record . Red Star Belgrade, or Crvena Zvezda as they’re formally known, will welcome Celtic to Rajko Mitic Stadium on Wednesday, September 24. The match kicks off at 8pm . Indeed, it is. The match will be broadcast live on TNT Sports 2 . Coverage begins at 7pm and continues until 10:30pm. TNT Sports subscribers can watch the match live on the channel’s website. “Both clubs missed out in the final qualification games and wanted to have been in the Champions League . “But, after the initial disappointment, we’re really looking forward to this competition. “If you look at the games we have, we’ve got some great teams, some historical teams, and it’s a good challenge for us to be in it. “So we’re over that disappointment – and we’re now really focused on doing well in this competition. “We have to forget about the Champions League, that’s gone. It’s very much looking forward to the future and how we can improve on the pitch. “In 2003, that created some incredible memories for people, and that came off the back of a disappointment in qualifying. “We can’t look back. “I’m not going to forecast anything of how far or how deep we can go. “You’ve got to earn that right, you’ve got to win the games, you’ve got to win.”
