The start of the NHL season is here and on Wednesday, Oct. 8, the Boston Bruins begin a new campaign in hopes of starting a new playoff streak, but first up are the Washington Capitals at Capital One Arena in Washington D.C.
This NHL game is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. EDT and will be broadcast on TNT. Fans looking to watch can do so for free by using DirecTV, which offers a free trial. The Bruins went 33-39-10 last season and missed the playoffs for the first time since 2016, when they went 42-31-9. The 49 regulation and overtime losses last season were the most since 2005-06 when they went 29-37-16.
The squad went 4-1-1 in the preseason, including a 3-1 win in Washington D.C. and a 5-2 home loss to the Capitals.
