It’s the final day of the MLB regular season, and just like the Yankees, the New York Mets have a lot on the line as they take on the Miami Marlins this afternoon.
The Mets and the Cincinnati Reds are battling for the National League’s third and final wild card spot, with both teams holding identical 83-78 records. The Reds hold the tiebreaker though, so if they beat the Milwaukee Brewers or the Mets lose today, they’ll be through to the postseason. A New York victory and Cincinnati loss would send the Mets to the playoffs instead.
