How to play Silent Hill f early before launch and best places to buy

Horror in the hometown (Konami)

Konami’s survival horror franchise leans into its Japanese roots in Silent Hill f and if you pre-order, you can play it two days early.

Alongside Resident Evil, Dead Space, and (regrettably) Five Nights At Freddy’s, Silent Hill is one of the biggest horror franchises in gaming.

Konami’s horror series debuted on the original PlayStation in 1999, and peaked with its 2001 sequel. Despite some interesting follow-ups in the subsequent years, the series was largely on a downwards slope – but its trajectory has been reversed by last year’s remake of Silent Hill 2.

That upwards swing continues with Silent Hill f, the first mainline entry since 2012’s Silent Hill Downpour. Developed by NeoBards Entertainment, the standalone title is the first entry set in Japan and, as outlined in our review, is well worth your attention.

So if you’re looking to pick it up as soon (and as cheaply) as possible, we’ve outlined what you need to know below.

What platforms is Silent Hill f available on?

Silent Hill f will launch across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

While it could arrive on the Nintendo Switch 2 in the future, nothing has been announced yet.

What is Silent Hill f’s release date and time?

The game will launch worldwide for everyone on September 25, 2025.

As for the exact time, Konami has released a graphic showing the release times in each region. UK players can download Silent Hill f from midnight on September 25 across PlayStation 5, Xbox, and Windows on PC.

Meanwhile, it will be released across Steam and the Epic Games Store at 5am BST, or 6am CEST in the rest of Europe.

How can you play Silent Hill f before launch?

If you pre-order the deluxe edition (only availably digitally), you’ll be given 48-hour early access starting from September 23, 2025. This edition comes with a bunch of other extras too, which are listed below.

Silent Hill f Deluxe Edition:

Digital artbook

Omamori: Peony 2

Item Pack 3 (a First Aid Kit, a Divine Water, a Shriveled Abura-age)

If you pre-order the standard edition, which is available physically or digitally, you’ll similarly receive the White Sailor School Uniform, the Onamori, and Item Pack 3.

How much is Silent Hill f?

The standard edition of Silent Hill f costs £69.99, while the deluxe edition will set you back £79.99.

However, for anyone happy with the standard edition on a physical disc, you can find it cheaper elsewhere. As we’ve highlighted before, the best deal is at Currys, where you can pick up the title for £58.49 on PlayStation 5 if you use a pre-order code.

Amazon is selling PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S copies for £62.99, or if you don’t mind paying full price, a version with an exclusive SteelBook for £69.99.

Are any other Silent Hill games in the works?

After Silent Hill f, the next game will be Silent Hill: Townfall. No release date has been announced, but it’s described as being part of an anthology series, developed by Screen Burn and published by Annapurna Interactive.

Following their success with the Silent Hill 2 remake, developer Bloober Team is now working on a remake of the original Silent Hill. A release date has yet to be announced.
