When you find a Jakobs Pistol in Borderlands 4, expect it to be a critical hit monster. The Seventh Sense Legendary Pistol is the epitome of that ideal, but it offers some supplementary damage as well. Alongside a blistering rate of fire, adding the weapon to your collection is a no-brainer for any Vault Hunter. Here’s how to get it.
Where to get the Seventh Sense Legendary Pistol in Borderlands 4
To get the Seventh Sense Legendary Pistol, you need to farm a set of three bosses: Vile Ted, Experiment 42, and Experiment 1709. To unlock the boss fight, you need to complete the Side Mission called Below the Surface.
Below the Surface is available in the Terminus District in the city of Dominion. That means you need to complete all the other regions and claim their respective bosses’ command bolts.
From the Frantic Scrawl fast travel station, head northwest and keep a lookout for a recent lab escapee named Ted. He’ll give you directions to the lab he fled, hoping you can go in and destroy it.
Follow the waypoints to the elevator, and when that doesn’t work, head through the ventilation duct. It’s a fairly straight shot once you reach the lab level. You’ll face the two Experiment bosses first, then call down the elevator for Ted. He’d like to obliterate the lab himself, only to turn on you as Vile Ted, the third and final boss.
To farm Ted and the Experiments, take the elevator back down once the quest is finished and grapple the portal in the hallway that led from their boss room. You’ll appear in front of the Moxxi’s Big Encore Machine.
The Seventh Sense can drop from any of the three bosses, and I was lucky enough to get a solid one on my second drop. The Bod farm this was not. The only problem is that Experiment 42 likes to move around erratically, making killing it quickly a hassle. Ted just runs at you, and Experiment 1709 is a big, slow-moving hitbox.
A good run of Vile Ted and the Experiments took me about thirty seconds without a completed build, and I spent most of that time chasing 42 around. I’ve no doubt you’ll probably have a better time than I did, and good luck on the drops.
