Some of the challenges in Battlefield 6 are a little on the wacky side, requiring you to play or do things in a match you might not always do. Getting smoke assists for the Support 3 class assignment is one such challenge, and while annoying, it’s not too hard to do. How to get smoke assists in Battlefield 6 To get smoke assists and complete the Support 3 class challenge in Battlefield 6, you need to first throw a smoke grenade, then have a teammate kill or down an enemy through that smoke. That means you need to use your smokes wisely and place them intelligently. My recommendation: go to Breakthrough, especially on a smaller map like New Sobek City, Manhattan Bridge, or Empire State. Regardless of which side you’re on, play Support and head to where the most fighting is and put a smoke down at or near one of the main sightlines. All you can do after that is wait and pray. Based on my testing, you’ll want to be on or near the objective, preferably in close quarters. I managed three smoke assists in quick succession on the final point of New Sobek City after throwing down smoke to revive some teammates. You will need 50 smoke assists to complete the Support 3 challenge, so you’ll need to play at least a few matches to rack up the required amount. If your matches go through every sector and down to the wire each time, you might only need a few. It is possible to get the smoke assists you need in other game modes, Conquest, specifically, but it’s hard to beat the condensed combat area of Breakthrough. Sticking to the close quarters points in other modes will have roughly the same effect, but probably won’t be as efficient. Check out our Battlefield 6 strategy guide for much more on the game.
