How to fast travel - Borderlands 4

Borderlands 4 is a huge, open-world game, which means you’re going to want to use fast travel. In order to do that, you must first find and unlock a fast travel location. These are scattered all over the map and each one requires you to either find a datapad, defeat some enemies, or progress through a mission.

How to fast travel

You can fast travel to Safehouses, Faction Towns, Order Silos, and Fast Travel Stations. Each of these is marked on the map when you get close and each must be unlocked in order to use. In the case of Safehouses, you must find a datapad within the vicinity and then interact with the terminal inside. Once unlocked, open the map, hover over a fast travel point, and hold the confirmation button to fast travel to it.

Whenever you get to a new region on Kairos, take some time to track down one or two fast travel locations. This will make it easier to complete quests, as some often require you to crisscross the map, and while using your Digirunner makes things quick, instantly teleporting nearby is better.

In addition to fast travel, Order Silos have a communications balloon. Jump out the big window and find the silo in the ground with a massive tether going into the sky. You can use your grapple hook to connect to the tether, which will fling you into the sky, allowing you to glide to hard-to-reach locations.

Now, some of these fast travel places will be difficult to unlock, especially if you’re tackling them on Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode. If you’re struggling, go and level up a bit and return back when you’re better equipped. To help you deal with these threats, read over our Borderlands 4 page. We’ve got plenty more tips for you.
