Vinnie is probably the first big test you will run into in your time with Pokemon Legends: Z-A. While veterans will fly through it, new players have a lot of consider when taking on his team. This is everything you need to know about Vinnie's lineup and how to counter it. Check out our POKEMON LEGENDS: Z-A INTERACTIVE MAP. How to defeat Vinnie in Pokemon Legends: Z-A - weaknesses and counters Rintaro will have the following three Pokemon on his team, so make sure you have some appropriate options to counter them. Houndoom (Level 30 Grass-type) that is weak to Water. Fighting, Ground, and Rock-types. Sharpedo (Level 30 Water-type) that is weak to Bug, Fairy, Grass, Fighting, and Electric-types. Buneary (Level 30 Fire-type) that is weak to Fighting-types. Mega Drampa (Level 32 Normal/Dragon-type) that is weak to Fighting, Dragon, Ice, and Fairy-types. The game will actually contain a secret weapon for this fight in the form of a free Heracross that you can get. This named Pokemon, called Bois, is a bit of an animal, and can hard carry you through a lot of the game. To get this free Heracross, complete Side Mission 002 "A Use for an Evolution Stone," which can be found here on our interactive map. Bois is a pretty interesting Pokemon as he is just so strong, so equip him with Brick Break and Rock Smash, and he can run through Vinnie's lineup as long as he is over Level 30. Now, it's not a bad idea to have some backup for him, which is why I would take the time to evolve a Panchamp into a Pangoro. This is another excellent pick for this battle as it will nicely counter most of the other picks, and comes with a solid moveset for damaging. After that, make sure you have your Absol in your party, just in case you need that health bar to rely on, but I feel that is unlikely. Just focus on Fighting-types in your team, and this fight will be a breeze. For more guides and news, be sure to check out our Pokemon Legends: Z-A page
