Duet Night Abyss famously dropped the idea of gacha for characters and weapons in the game, instead delivering a system that allows players to farm for whatever they wish. There is still a gacha system, however, and it is tied to cosmetics. Many of the fancy skins and unusual visuals are behind the gacha system, so you'll want to understand the pity system before you engage with it. How the pity system works in Duet Night Abyss If you want to get your hands on some of the skins in Duet Night Abyss, then you will need to engage with the gacha system. As far as the pity system goes, it ultimately boils down to a guaranteed purple rarity item with every 10 pulls, and a guarantee of 25 Iridescent Prisms after 90 pulls. These can then be used to purchase a skin. The tiers are Green, Purple, and then Gold, where the Iridescent Prisms are hidden. Purple items can include cosmetics like glasses, hats, masks, or other items for your character to wear that do not constitute full outfits. So, every 10 pulls you get one purple cosmetic, and every 90 pulls you will be guaranteed your Iridescent Prisms. If you pull the Golden tier before you hit that 90 point, it will reset back to zero. You can find the cosmetic banners in the Shop, on the Recommended tab. The game refers to pulls as "Weaves," and you will need either a Prismatic Hourglass to pull on the Event Banner or Pristine Hourglasses to pull on Standard Banners. You should also check the Details tab for each banner, found near the center at the bottom of the screen, to see the exact drop rates of different components. One more important thing to remember about the pity system is that it is unique to each banner. The pity system from one banner will not impact another banner, and so on.
