GTA 6 is set to release on May 26, 2026, but there are loads of speculations and opinions thrown around about the game. The game's trailers and official screenshots are compared to Rockstar's last major title, Red Dead Redemption 2. When looking at the period-piece game from 2018, camp is one particular feature in it that was quite unique. In RDR 2, the Van Der Linde gang moves from one location to another, stealing money and trying to run away for good. When they move, they find a safe place and create a camp where they can live and survive. Furthermore, Arthur Morgan, the game's protagonist, has the ability to create temporary camps anywhere to cook food and sleep. An argument can be made that GTA 6 could make use of RDR 2's camp system in several ways. Here's how.Note: This article is subjective and solely reflects the writer's opinion.Ways in which GTA 6 could use RDR 2's camp systemRealistic neighborhoods and social jointsJoints where other characters hang out and can be interacted with are quite realistic (Image via Sportskeeda Gaming || Rockstar Games)In real life, people head to various pubs, restaurants, hotels, and other joints to socialize with others in the neighborhood. This is particularly popular in smaller towns, where most people know each other.Hence, GTA 6 could have several joints similar to camps where Jason and Lucia would find familiar friendly characters hanging out and socializing. This would massively enhance realism and make other NPCs feel real.Similar to how Arthur gets to eat a meal and get other supplies from his camp, Jason and Lucia could also eat and rest in order for these joints to function properly in the game.Increase interaction between characters and incorporate role-playing elementsRDR 2 camps can be implemented in GTA 6 in the form of pubs, restaurants, and more. (Image via Rockstar Games)In RDR 2, Arthur will stumble upon various side missions given by different gang members. After taking up the job, it is the player's decision to go ahead with it or continue with the main storyline.A similar approach can be taken for GTA 6, where different restaurants, pubs, and hotels are owned by different gangs of Leonida, where Jason and Lucia can get side missions in order to increase their reputation with the gang or the neighborhood. The RDR 2 camp also allows players to donate money. This money is then used to run the camp and also as a savings box for the gang to escape. This mechanic could also arrive in Rockstar's next title. Jason and Lucia can pick which joint they would like to donate to. After donating, their reputation in that gang will boost. This way, players can pick which gang they support more, making their gameplay unique.RDR 2 camps also have fun minigames like dominoes, knife throwing, fishing, etc., that Arthur can enjoy with gang members. The same can be in Grand Theft Auto 6.Check out our other content:How seasons might work in GTA 65 things to do in GTA Online before Halloween 2025 endsShould the GTA 6 protagonists be anti-heroes?
