Dua Lipa And Callum Turner’s Meet-Cute Is So Sickeningly Perfect That People Are Comparing It To Fan Fiction “everything i hear about dua lipa’s life sounds like an actual movie.” In recent years, it has become somewhat of an online running joke that singer Dua Lipa is living everybody’s ultimate dream life. In addition to being super talented, having a thriving career, and — of course — being absolutely stunning, social media users are often left in awe of her jetset lifestyle, with Dua regularly posting enviable Instagram dumps that show her soaking up the sun in various exotic locations. And as if that wasn’t enough, she often has her seriously hot fiancé, Callum Turner, by her side. For reference, Dua and Callum were first romantically linked in January 2024, and back in June, they confirmed that they’d gotten engaged. Now, Callum has left everybody in their feels after sharing some seriously wholesome insight into his and Dua’s relationship in a new interview with the Times — with a story from when they first met causing a particular stir. Speaking to the publication, the British actor explained that he and Dua actually missed several opportunities to meet over the years in a series of Sliding Doors moments. “We had maybe two, three, four, five near misses over our time where we didn’t meet. Mutual friends and places,” he shared. “There’s one where she went to a party and then I went to a party, but I arrived minutes after she left.” “I arrived at 2 in the morning and she left at 1.45 — she checked her Uber and I checked a photo I’d taken opposite my friend’s house when I arrived,” Callum went on. “There were loads of things like that, and then, when we were both able to, we were both single and whatever, I just thought she was the most beautiful woman in the world.” But when they finally did meet for drinks in Los Angeles ahead of a mutual friend’s birthday, the timing couldn’t have been more perfect — with the two stars quickly realizing that they were up to the exact same part in the exact same book at the exact same time. “We sat next to each other and realized we were reading the same book, which is crazy,” Callum revealed. “It’s called Trust [by Hernán Díaz] and I had just finished the first chapter and I told her and she looked at me and said: ‘I just finished the first chapter too.’ I said: ‘So we’re on the same page.’” “In the movie version of it, I look up to the sky and I’m like: 'I hear you. I understand. The signs are loud, don’t worry.' And that was really the first [moment],” he added. And this is the part of the interview that has triggered a huge response on social media, with many left in awe of the serendipity of Callum and Dua’s meet-cute — as well as Callum’s undeniably smooth one-liner. Elsewhere in the interview, Callum proved himself to be a true lover boy when he was asked how he and Dua manage to spend time together amid their busy work schedules. He said: “Well, FaceTime is a wonderful thing. And the other rule is that it’s never not worth it — that’s our slogan.” “If you can go for two days, just fucking go.
