    The Maleficent star got candid about her relationship with the Rolling Stone magazine executive chairman, who she’s been dating since 2023.

    And for Elle, 27, showing her affection for Gus, 35, on social media is an important aspect of their strong bond.

    “If your partner doesn’t post you on Instagram, that’s a red flag,” Elle told Vanity Fair in an interview published Sept. 16. “I love my boyfriend, and we’re going to post each other.”

    Another key part of their love story? Getting the A-OK from her older sister Dakota Fanning.

    In fact, Gus found his way into the Uptown Girls actress’ good graces early on in their relationship, when the pair had a chance encounter in Las Vegas.

    “We were newly dating, and I really cared about him,” Elle recalled. “They were at the same after-party—she turned around, and there he was.”
