In several surveys of small business owners there’s one concern that consistently crops up – cash flow. A NAB survey found 43 per cent of SMB owners claim it keeps them awake at night, while one from CommBank discovered a whopping 80 per cent of SMB owners admitted to having their cash flow impacted over the past year.

It’s no surprise. With factors such as the economy, tariff pricing, and the continuing cost of living challenges pressing on business owners, they’re spending more time than ever examining their expenditure and logistics. For instance, the NAB survey found that half of all the SMB owners it surveyed intend to focus on cost-cutting and finding suppliers that deliver the best savings.

One solution that’s good for business

When analysing their bottom line, many SMB owners often look at options such as reducing staff numbers or cutting back on IT expenditure, but these can have a negative effect on the business’s culture, often hampering its output. However, some have found a solution that won’t add to the stress, and can actually help alleviate it – renting vehicles.
