The $2.6 billion Hosororo Secondary School in Region One (Barima-Waini) is now scheduled for completion in January 2026. According to a Ministry of Education press release, Minister of Education Sonia Parag and a team visited the site last weekend where she met the contractors and assessed the progress of the work. The press release said that to ensure the completion date is met, Parag set out several short-term deadlines for the electrical installation and completion of the teaching blocks. It said she stated that within the next two weeks, one of the two teaching blocks, each comprising five buildings, would be completed and ready for intake.
